The Thrive Playlist

As part of the Thrive Project, musicians Carol Bowden and Bridie Jackson have recorded some songs, aimed at children aged 0-5. The songs will be included as part of the Thrive Song Bag, which will be offered to all families who take part in the project.

The Song Bags include instruments, finger puppets and lyric sheets, so mams and children can continue to enjoy the positive effects of music-making in their new homes. You can also listen to the songs here!

We are grateful to have worked in collaboration with Blue Cabin to create these Song Bags and to share early-years music making resources.

Blue Cabin is a North East of England-based charity which specialises in developing and strengthening relationships for care-experienced children and young people through creative activities. Blue Cabin’s collection of early years songs has been created and recorded by musicians Carol Bowden and Katie Doherty, as part of a project for care-experienced babies and children and their adults in Darlington called This is the Place. This element of the project was funded by Youth Music, County Durham Community Foundation, Creative Darlington and Darlington Borough Council.
