Front Street Songs Community Tour 2023
In 2023, we will be taking Front Street Songs on the road, visiting parks and community centres all over Sunderland.
The Front Street Songs Community Tour will bring singing, dancing, bubble-blowing, ribbon-twirling and instrument playing to community venues.

FAQs
How long does a performance last?
The music will last for approximately 40 minutes.
Do we need to bring anything?
No! We will provide instruments to share, bubbles, ribbons and maybe a few treats!
What age is it suitable for?
The recommended age is 0-9 years old, however we welcome older brother and sisters!
Who are the performers?
Ashleigh Lowes and Paige Temperley are our Front Street Songs musicians. They are both songwriters and performers in their own right, and experienced community musicians who work in schools and with organisations such as Sage Gateshead.
Most importantly, they love rocking a funky hairband and don’t get embarrassed easily!
Is it loud?
We use a portable PA, so that everyone should be able to hear.
For participants with sensory issues, we can provide noise-reducing headphones.
What do I/ my children have to do?
We encourage everyone to join in to the level they feel comfortable. We provide bubbles, instruments and ribbons, and love children to get involved, however everyone likes to experience it in a different way- whether that’s sitting quietly, eating your lunch or playing while you listen.
Is the venue accessible?
Please contact the venue directly for accessibility information, or email laura@wemakeculture.co.uk.
How much does it cost?
It is completely free to take part, thanks to funding from National Lottery Community Fund and Arnold Clark Community Fund.
There will be a chance to offer a donation, if you can.
Do I have to stay?
Children must be accompanied by a parent/ guardian throughout. We try to make it as fun as possible for adults as well as children, and usually have mams, uncles and granny’s dancing and singing along!
